GroceryAid announces that Procter & Gamble (P&G) has been recognised with the prestigious accolade of a Gold Achievement Award. This award recognises the continuing commitment and support that P&G gives GroceryAid across the five key areas

"The Gold award recognises the strong contribution Procter & Gamble has made during the past year with their strong support of our Network and Central committees. The company has three representatives on the Southern Network and two on the Northern Network. In addition, Sandra McCartney is a member of the Finance Committee.

"They also show exceptional support for many of our regional branches, with representation on the Northern, North East & York, South Coast and Thames Valley branches.

"Procter & Gamble continue to support and attend many GroceryAid events with generous donations of product and services. They are major sponsors of the Sporting Heroes Luncheon and the Diamond Ball where they provide a gift for all guests. In 2015 they were also sub-sponsors of the Summer Ball and the Carol Concert. During the last year, four colleagues took part in the Tough Mudder challenge event in Yorkshire."

The Achievement Awards are designed to bring recognition and thanks to all companies that support the charity. This year’s awards have really shown how support can come in many different forms. Many more companies are helping by joining one of the GroceryAid committees, taking part in fundraising events, supporting local branches or making a charitable donation. All of this support is taken into account when the Judges decide on Achievement Award winners.

During 2015 GroceryAid has seen businesses across the industry pull together to drive their fundraising activities and offer support in every possible capacity. Gillian Barker, GroceryAid Director General comments; “More than 400 volunteers help us to run the charity. Many of these are volunteers on the regional branches and help us raise awareness within the local business community, whilst providing local fundraising events for GroceryAid. I’d like to personally thank everyone at Procter & Gamble for their work on our regional branches and your continuing support of the charity.”
