‘Will and Kate’ lookalikes stir up fun at P&G Family Home

Yesterday, 30 July 2012, P&G treated the mums of Olympians to tea with royal lookalikes at the P&G Family Home in London. Mums of Olympians from all over the world shared this traditional British custom with actors playing Will and Kate.

Mums and families of Olympians were served tea at the ‘home away from home’ in Central London during the London 2012 Olympic Games. It’s where P&G is fulfilling its promise of saying Thank You Mum, by serving the Mums of some of the world’s best athletes.

Phil Duncan, Global Design Officer said, “We wanted to interject some fun and to capture the London experience in our design. We saw from the Opening Ceremony that there is nothing more relevant than the Royal Family, and so we had Will and Kate lookalikes join us here to bring to life the London culture!”

“It was great to come and serve the mums. This is an incredible home and a wonderful thing P&G is doing to give them a special place to go during these Olympic Games. I want to come back and have my nails done with the British design,” smiled Kate lookalike Gabriella Douglas.

Our Thank You Mum campaign is part of the company’s Worldwide Partnership with the Olympic Movement. As a Company, P&G is serving a special person behind every athlete – mum.  It is the largest campaign in our 175-year history.  P&G brands are supporting more than 150 athletes.
