Missed the Ticket Ballot?

P&G UK and Ireland announce it is giving away an unprecedented 90% of its Olympic 2012 ticket allocation to mums and families

As people across Britain check their bank accounts to see if they have a ticket to the London 2012 Olympic Games, Official Partner to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), P&G has announced it is giving away 90% of its ticket allocation to the public to demonstrate its commitment to supporting mums and families.

P&G, which is the company behind brands including Olay, Fairy and Ariel, has a variety of activity planned which will give mums and their families a chance to win thousands of tickets over the course of the next 15 months.

The first activity sees 2012 tickets being given to the public between now and 31st October 2011. Simply by purchasing any P&G product through major retailers, customers will have the chance to win tickets.

To highlight all the ways families can still get involved with this once-in-a-lifetime event and to get mums across the UK to enter into the Olympic and Paralympic spirit, P&G has teamed up with former Olympic Silver medallist and mother of three, Sharron Davies (MBE).

Sharron comments: “As both a former Olympian and more importantly, a mother, I’m thrilled Great Britain will be hosting such a monumental event and feel passionately that people should try and be a part of it. While the official ballot has closed, there will be plenty of opportunities for people to get tickets still and I’m so glad to hear that P&G is encouraging families to get involved in the Games. And it’s brilliant that they are giving such a massive proportion of their tickets to the public.”

Sharron continues; “The Olympic and Paralympic Games really should be thought of as a family event, it’s a great chance to inspire and there’s something for everyone. With the Paralympic ballot opening later in the year and sponsors such as P&G pledging the majority of their tickets to families I’d encourage mums to look out for the many ways to get involved in seeing this once-in-a-lifetime event.”
